95% of UK biz not ready for cookie law

Recent research by KPMG indicated that 95% of UK businesses were unprepared for the change in the cookie law.  If you are one of these, the deadline for compliance is this week - 25 May 2012!

Here are our tips for compliance:

1. Adapt your log-in page or add headers, footers or pop-up boxes to get a user's informed consent
2. Place a prominent notice on your website about cookies and their use
3. Update both your privacy policy and website terms of use
4. Implement the guidance from the ICO and the International Chambers of Commerce
